Srushti Deshmukh is beginning preparations for the UPSC entry in her 3rd year in engineering. She questioned whether engineering was an appropriate career path for her. It was later discovered that her dream job was within the civil service, and she decided to pursue this. Parents insisted that she study for civil service and to make it a profession serving the public. Her motivation was constant and she determined to become the IAS officer. For UPSC to be a reality it is more work required. When she was studying engineering courses, she also used to prepare for different subjects at UPSC. Each day she would set aside time to study for her exam. In only 1 and 1/4 months, she was studying for engineering examinations, and stayed away from all contact with people. She believes that focusing on her work is essential to clear the exam for government jobs and to be eligible for a job in civil service. She was very focused on passing this test, and she put in a good amount of work. To stay informed about current affairs her routine was to go through news papers. Also, she received a lot of help online collecting different study materials and taking in Rajya Sabha TV. IAS Srushti Deskmukh IAS Srushti Deskmukh wrote a publication titled The Answer Writing manual. It is at all libraries of the States of India.
